3 Dimensial Design
A course of study unique to Pratt Institute. Beginning in the sophomore level, Industrial Design students are given excercises dealing with abstraction as a method of honing the eye.
Beginning with abstract compositions, solids, lines, planes, students deal with form with attention to a visual hierarchy, axial composition, contrast and complements.
By junior year, skills begin to be applied to products viewed through the lens of form and abstraction.
