This became the cover of the children's album. It was one of the choices created by layering illustrations, textures, and a photograph. I chose to highlight the guitar (Steve Makofka is the guitar player and lead singer) and gave the cover a Woodstock feeling for that rock'n roll look Steve wanted that would span the generations.
For the second CD cover design option, I wanted to give Steve Makofka a more childlike version even though he wanted it to appeal to adults as well. I drew the stock of the guitar more simply and playful.
My third CD cover design option, was focusing more on the three different instruments featured in the band; guitar, upright bass, and the drums. The typography was more dominant and playful in this version as well.

Steve Makofka and the Turtle Chasers Album
Steve Makofka, a Dayton local musician, was putting together a children's CD and wanted to hire a local designer to create the CD case graphics. It was a mix of different styles and genres of music, but Steve wanted it to look multi-generational and rock'n roll.
