Student Staff / Co-op-Program Assistant
NSF Advance RIT
May 2013 - Present (8 years 5 months)
Support the creation of evaluation materials, analyze data, and create various print and web-based materials. Skills:
Engineering Mechanics Intern
Jun 2015 - Aug 2015 (2 months)
Researched and designed a high rate shear fixture, using Solidworks & SpaceClaim, to attach to the existing drop tower in order to obtain new material property data. Quasi-static, constant strain rate, tensile testing, using an Instron machine, was done for rate correlation comparisons. Both project were related to the material properties of thermoplastic composites.
Brewer Design Engineering Co-op
Keurig Green Mountain
Jun 2014 - Dec 2014 (6 months)
Projects included designing and building electromechanical test fixtures using Solidworks, acoustic testing of brewer components, manufacturing change of brewer components and analyzing and reporting data related to the away from home brewers and the new Keurig Kold platform. Projects utilized heat transfer, thermodynamic and fluid simulations and analysis. Trained and participated on the Taste Sensory Panel for new beverage development.
Production Engineering Co-op
Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing
Aug 2013 - Dec 2013 (4 months)
Engine development within the Powertrain division focusing on quality, ease of manufacturing and unit cost. Collaboration on an ergonomic study of engine hoses to reduce the force burden during installation.
