JS1 Prototype Speakers

The focus of this project was to step away from the geometric forms of typical speaker cabinets. My intent was to create a product that the user would want to display as a complement to their decor. The construction of each speaker includes over 30 laminated laser cut MDF panels. The internal dimensions are independent of the external dimensions and are designed to direct the sound waves to taper to the rear of the enclosure. The change to organic walls from the typical flat surfaces minimizes sound wave diffraction resulting in a cleaner sound. The finish is high quality paint with a clear-coat. Drivers are FOCAL access series.
