Tandem
Tandem - Knit and wovens working as one to create innovative silhouettes. I was inspired by the freedom the bicycle brought to women's fashion in the 19th century. Fluid, feminine, graceful yet mechanical.

Modern Gypsy - When designing this collection I was inspired by the idea of a girl traveling in between her roots and her future, the country and the city. Quilt prints with sophisticated lines, sleek dresses in warm earth tones. A tumbleweed on the cement.

Femme Fatale - This collection, in progress, is a part of my Designer Identity Package, imagining what the mood, customer, aesthetic and life a self created company would possess. My challenge as a designer is always to push myself further, but still hold onto my love of knits and vintage details. I The inspiration for this collection was from the strong mysterious women in film noir. Combining tailored menswear inspired pieces with elegant knits I tried to achieve a sharp contrast.

My challenge as a designer is always to push myself further, but still hold onto my love of knits and vintage details. In this collection my goal was to take those elements and combine them with new and different techniques and silhouettes. The inspiration for this collection was the Rolls Royce figurine: "The Spirit of Ecstasy".

Private Label Project - The objective of our Private Label Project was to choose a store in the Providence area and design a collection for their company. As designers it was our goal to add our design aesthetic to the collection , but also keeping in mind the label's target customer. My love for knitwear lead me to design a collection for J. Crew' cashmere line. I wanted to add unique pieces to their bland essentials-only sweaters. I achieved this by adding cashmere blends that would be able to be felted, three dimensional details that create interesting textures, playing with different yarn gauges to display varying transparencies and opacities and new silhouettes that any J. Crew customer would love to add to their wardrobe.

Jacket Collection - I designed this collection second semester of my junior year. Inspired by Edwardian Era details I strived to combine feminine elements with tailored more streamlined forms to create unique looks.

Knitwear Collection - I designed this collection first semester of my junior year. I was inspired by a three dimensional knit swatch that I created on the knitting machine as well as the architectual elements in gothic cathedrals and the architectual elements in natural rock formations in the desert.

Cut and Sew Collection - First semester junior year in addition to my knitwear collection we had to design a cut and sew collection. Understanding knits, either in constructing them from yarn or yardage has always been a passion of mine. Inspiration for this collection came from the intense colors and draping qualities in paintings from Maxfield Parish.
