Project H: Chicago Chapter

I started the Chicago chapter of Project H after being inspired by the work of founder, Emily Pilliton. I chose to focus the team on working with local homeless population and their needs. Through in-depth user research we discovered their common needs were around access to supportive service providers. This shifted our research to learning about successful service providers. The Chicago Chapter partnered with Broadway Youth Center (BYC) to understand their success and research opportunities to improve their services. I brought in outside designers to broaden the teams perspective and broke down assumptions and stereotypes through scenarios so they could help us design services for BYC. Brainstorm concepts were refined into service ideas and presented to BYC and experts to evaluate.
