This board shows off the mousetrap design in a minimalist way. The mousetrap's design is based loosely on the shape of a mouse hole. The colours on the design itself are intended not to make the product stand out when placed in a home, however it needs to stand out when on display in a shop. Continuity is provided by using the same colours for the doors of the trap as used in the logo. Mousetrap modelled in Solidworks and rendered with Photoview 360. Logo created in Photoshop. Board assembled in Photoshop.
The purpose of this board is to explain, both visually and using text, how the mechanism within the mousetrap works. The brand identity is carried through to this board by use of the logo and a mirrored version of the background from the first board. The 3D cross sectional view shows the mechanism inside the trap and aids in the explanation of how it works. The basic side views panelled along the top show all the stages of the trap in action.
