Netia wanted to design their own wireless modem to reflect their market-leader position, to keep pace with consumers'expectation of products in the modern home. The main focus for Netia was: Simplicity, Plug and Play.

Ventilation was a factor in this design and to allow enough for the final design, the ventilation detail is integrated behind the side frame. This allows enough airflow for the product and kept to the “simplicity” aspect of the brief. I used a high gloss finish for the top surface to create a premium look for the product and subtle, light details were placed in the centre to notify the status of the internet connection. Netia Spot officially launched October 2011.
