The Tree Talk puck is a modern interpretation of the classic upright telephone. The design incorportates a touch display combined with a rotating main body to dial numbers. Creating a centralised communication hub for the home. The base unit accommodates serveral Tree Talk pucks, each puck functions as an individual phone. The allows a household to have multiple phones in one central location.
The rotating body of the puck references the dialing wheel of classic telephones. Top housing rotates left and right for dialing. Bottom housing incorprates the volume and speaker buttons for quick access. Soft cushion fabric were chosed for the end cap to create a sense of comfort for the user.
The simple graphic user interface gives the Tree Talk Puck a contemporary appearance, This visual simplicity is combined with the analogue tactility of the rotating dial creates a rich user experience.
