During Hurricane Katrina people were forced to decide between their pets or themselves. This ad would promote and encourage support for the PETS Act; a new legislation that would include pets in federal evacuation procedure. In order to evoke a more emotional response, I created an illustration instead of using a photograph. Rendering the pets by hand resulted in a much more personal and unique message than if I had used stock photography.
