The main idea in my design was to
create open living areas for the family to spend time together and also entertain friends. I did this by utilizing the front and back horizontals of the space, dividing the loft into two sections: kitchen and living. For the kitchen I used the entire span of the front wall for cabinets, appliances, and storage, while leaving an open space for dining and entertaining. And in the back of the loft I used the entire span of the wall for a window seat with book storage below.
