Sahapedia is building a rich and interactive encyclopedia about the history, art and culture of India. It is envisioned as an online public space that is created collectively, where people (experts and lay users alike) feel comfortable in exchanging ideas, information and experiences, and contributing their knowledge of Indian cultural forms in multiple media formats.
User Interface Design and User Experience Design
A thorough research phase involving an overview of existing online platforms as well as an understanding of the projected content of Sahapedia, gave us deep insights into the possibilities of onine digitized content creation, analysis, sharing, processing and application. Recognising the need to create a powerful and flexible system, the Sahapedia platform is based on an Open Source approach and after the launch, will be opened to the public for innovating and improving through the community's collective participation.
