This was a Magazine Cover project for my CMST 310 Fundamentals of Electronic Publishing completed in March 2016. The goal in this class was to use InDesign to create electronic publications for various media formats following fundamental design principles. I created this magazine cover and named it “VIP Streetz” for anyone that’s into cars. I made it appeal to many types of car lovers because I have the VIP type as the main cover photo, but shows interest to the drifters, street racers or dragsters, the Nissan owners that just want to add a little horsepower and the cover reaches out to the car show crowds. I felt it’s best to touch a broad audience in this case being a magazine to boost sells. I learned InDesign well, setting margins, bleed and content layout. I also got to try out new fonts. This was a Party Flyer project for my CMST 310 Fundamentals of Electronic Publishing completed in March 2016. The goal in this class was to use InDesign to create electronic publications for various media formats following fundamental design principles. The purpose of the flyer was to promote a dance party. I chose a Valentine’s Day theme to promote. The target audience for this dance party was for anyone single and old enough to drink. It was themed “Be My Valentine” for that reason. I got to utilize InDesign again to blend and fade images, more font play, and more experience with setting margins. Tools Used: Adobe InDesign CS5.5, Adobe Photoshop CS5.1

This was a Wedding Invitation project for my CMST 310 Fundamentals of Electronic Publishing completed in March 2016. The goal in this class was to use InDesign to create electronic publications for various media formats following fundamental design principles. This is displayed as it would be ready for print, so the right side is the front cover when folder in half vertically, making the left side the back page of the invitation. This gave me the chance to be a little creative with fonts, colors and the image layout but the wording content was exactly as the client requested. This project gave me experience with borders, margins, gutter and bleed to prepare a pamphlet for print. I also got more font play which was consistent throughout.
