This was my final website design that I completed in CMST 386 Principles of Web Design and Technology II in December 2015. It was titled JapanGuide and I created it just for that purpose, to be a guide so that anyone who plans to visit Japan can use to find out about things to do during the different seasons and how to get around. This page is the "home" page and entirely HTML5 and CSS3. It displays how to create a gradient background using CSS3 and not images, you can see this in the body, header title, footer and navigational buttons. It displays how to align images in the text. All the images used were personally taken by me and optimized for web use. The bottom image looks faded and once the mouse rolls over it, it is displayed full color and is a hyper-link to the Tokyo Disneyland's official website. It also displays the use of the "site search" capability. Tools Used: Firefox Browser v46.0, Adobe Photoshop CS5.1, Notepad++ v6.9, FileZilla v3.14.1

This was also part my final website design that I completed in CMST 386 Principles of Web Design and Technology II. Along with the search feature, picture optimization and gradient background using CSS3, this page utilizes the creation of a feedback form. This is found under the “contact” tab. The purpose was for visitors to leave feedback or contact me. This page uses Javascript, HTMLs and CC3 to validate mandatory entries. If you try to submit without the required fields or input characters in the email field that don’t contain the “@” symbol you will get a pop-up telling you to input a valid email address. I also got experience with the use of radio buttons and the submit button linking to my email address. It also utilizes a drop-down menu within the form. All the form information will automatically be included on the email created when they press the submit button which will open their default email program. Tools Used: Firefox Browser v46.0 Notepad++ v6.9 FileZilla v3.14.1
This was project 2 of my CMST 386 Principles of Web Design and Technology II completed in November 2015. The purpose of this web page was to also display the use of a gradient background using CSS3, add a multimedia video and also JavaScript animation. Embedding the YouTube video gave me experience with embedding video and displaying the “play” icon over the video when the page is loaded, so that people know it’s a video. I learned how to resize multimedia for proper display. The personal slideshow gave me experience using JavaScript to display the slideshow and create the controls along the bottom to control the slideshow. I learned the use of drop shadows which are displayed around the bottom and right side of the slideshow. All photos are from my personal collection and were optimized and resized.
