This is the final presentation my team presented to the company regarding their Social Media Week 2014 Chicago party. SapientNitro always uses their Social Media Week (SMW) party as an opportunity to learn something about media and make a point (i.e. a previous party was centered around the question of whether or not people were more social or less social after the implementation of internet). My team focused on the concepts of anonymity online and the creation of "insta-art." We presented both ideas to an audience of over 60 people representing the company, and they were both very well received, and the company decided to go ahead with both ideas in succession. Unfortunately, SN was unable to have a Social Media Week party in 2014. Fortunately, this was because they gained clients and didn't have enough time to work on finalizing the party this year. We'll have to wait until 2015 to see how the party goes!

Goal: To create SapientNitro's Chicago party theme for Social Media Week 2014.
------------------------------

I was hired by SapientNitro, along with a team of four other interns, to plan SN's Social Media Week 2014 party for Chicago. This was a high ask, as they had previously won the social media week parties in Chicago the two previous years. A previous party theme had been "Social vs. Social" (determining whether people were more social with or without the internet)--SN always uses this week as an opportunity to study marketing trends. I was nominated for and hired as the project manager.

My team and I came up with the interesting theme of working with the idea of anonymity online. We created different party favors and activities centered around the idea of anonymity online, all under a strict budget and one-week deadline. The idea was well-received by the company and they have decided to use it in the future.
