The University of Chicago's Annual Scavenger Hunt, lovingly known by participants as "Scav," was declared the World's Largest Scavenger Hunt by Guinness World Records.
Scav Hunt was founded in 1987 by members of the Snell-Hitchcock dorm. Scav quickly grew to be a campus-wide activity. Over the years, the Snell-Hitchcock team has continued to be competitive during the hunt and has won over half of the hunts since then.
I was selected to captain the Snell-Hitchcock team during a period when Scav morale was low in the dorm. I used a combination of personalized and *UChicago-y" pop-culture social media and team rallies to raise the moral of the team, resulting in one of the largest teams in the history of the dorm.
