One of the two flyers promoting the homecoming game. UChicago students are true academics at heart. The equation at the bottom purposely does not match the graph, and students caught on right away. The poster went viral on UChicago medias. Students loved to repost the flyer along with the correct formula for the graph.
One of the two flyers promoting the homecoming game. UChicago students are true academics at heart. There are not the correct number of football players on both sides, and UChicago students noticed and took to reposting with corrections right away on many different medias. The poster went viral. It brought thousands of views to the poster and even a little national attention.

At UChicago, sports are not usually our strong suit. Sure, we won the first Heisman trophy, but after that, we built a library on top of the football field and dusted our hands off. Homecoming has never been the biggest deal.

In the fall of 2014, the alumni homecoming theme was "Rigor. Discipline. Homecoming." The administration decided it was looking for something different to appeal to its student audience.

I was in charge of bringing students to the game and entertaining them while there. I brought back the age-old "vs" concept and kept the tone light, sarcastic, and maybe just a bit nerdy.
