The Basket Rack is a different take on the conventional ski rack and is specifically design to attach to automotive roof mounted cargo baskets. Similar to the cargo basket, the main body of the rack is made of half inch steel tubing. The arch and top bar of the rack measures four inches in height center to center form the horizontal bar of the cargo basket. At this height the contour of the rack is distinct while still maintaining the look that is desired in a cargo basket. Unlike mounting skis flat, the arc also provides more surface area. This provides the user with the room to mount more than just four skis or snowboards on the rack. The arc was also done for other practical reasons. The height still allows for cargo and luggage to be places below The Basket Rack while still being able to mount skis and snowboards atop.
