This spring collection is based on translucence, color, and light. It was inspired by visions after the rain-- of a sunrise through the raindrops or a rain-soaked sidewalk creeping up to the dry patch underneath an awning.
Constructed from silk georgette, habotai, charmeuse, and dupioni shantung, and hand-dyed with coffee, tea, and traditional fabric dyes. The silhouette is feminine and body-conscious without being overly revealing. The georgette overlay maintains a feminine mystique, while the underlayer suggests an attractive figure. The georgette pieces are finished with unexpected touches of gold chain and abstract appliques of silk and metal lace.
These pieces are also quite versatile; the georgette pieces can be combined with a lackluster piece in her wardrobe to dress up, or thrown over a swimsuit for a poolside brunch.
