Communications Future Concept (Blue Sky Project)

This design was short-listed into the top ten design consultancies across Europe in the Toshiba, disk drive revolution design competition in 2004. This project was to look at future technologies at an early stage in their development and how they can be implemented into products and used in the near future, I was looking at current technology developments and where they could in the next 10 years and what sort of product we could have back in 2002.
The projects aim was to produce a product that would aid the sharing and transfer of information throughout the whole of the NHS, whether you are in a small village clinic or a large city hospital. The design allows for a consistent form of contact and language across all departments in an instant, resulting in a total reduction of lost mail. The physical eliminate was a hand held product was designed for people on the wards or for people out in public for example making home visits.
