Mother Earth - The Light of Shekhinah. Shekhinah is the Divine Feminine and the Divine Presence in Judaism. The Light of Shekhinah emanates from the center of this piece, flowing out through the tree and web like structure into an abstract depiction of our world, Mother Earth. Tablet woven band, cotton and tencel mounted on linen backing. 23” dia. Created in 2017
Mother Tree - Asherah. In this piece the Kabbalah tree of life glyph and a symbol of the Divine Mother are integrated with a sculpture of the World Tree. They merge into the wholeness of Asherah, an ancient Hebrew Goddess frequently represented as a tree. Materials used: Woven fiber stitched onto a metal armature with embroidery and needle felting. Techniques used: Weaving, Embroidery, Created in 2017
