Senior Year: Impermanent Fixations

This project was part of my curriculum during a swing (non-major) Art and Design studio I took senior year. The prompt for the open-ended project was "Rites of Passage" and my project response was focused on haircuts, specifically based on my own experience as a female cutting off most of their hair.

Overall, I hoped to show the ephemeral quality of the length of our hair over time. Certainly it becomes part of our identity when we have it, but we can move past it without any change to who we are. With this mindset I created the interactive Art + Design exhibit of the final project.
