packaging for each region - This is an example of some of the packaging structures I designed for the different regions for a global launch. Each container holds the same phone securily and nicely.
Concept E - This was a concept I came up with to help develop a better open box experience. Notice the duel pockets on lid. One holds item from the top, other holds lit and loads from the base. Insert secures all items and eliminates rattle
3 piece, regional specific design - Designed for a more stimulating box opening experience. Cost is higher due to assembly but it does look good. 3-piece. Base: F-Flute, Lid: 18pt sbs, Insert: 24pt sbs

3 piece design. Insert and the goodies inside - Designed for a more stimulating box opening experience. Cost is higher due to assembly but it does look good. 3-piece. Base: F-Flute, Lid: 18pt sbs, Insert: 24pt sbs
3 piece design, unglued - Designed for a more stimulating box opening experience. Cost is higher due to assembly but it does look good. 3-piece. Base: F-Flute, Lid: 18pt sbs, Insert: 24pt sbs
G2 wrist strap concept - 3 pc. 18pt sbs lid, 18pt sbs base, 18pt sbs insert. *Notice: Z fold attached to base lid which creates 2 pockets. One is on top and the other is accessed from below. The pocket on top was designed to hold and display the main product and is the only thing you see when the lid is removed. The pocket underneath is sized specifically for the literature. Duel glue systems are needed but you cant beat the aesthetics and length of assembly and load time at the distribution center.
Black Box* design - Box opening experience
Black Box* design - simple, effective, and attractive - Easily access both layers of products enclosed in box. 1 piece design with no glue. Innercell (table top tray) is created to secure device above the accessories and literature that comes with it. Designed using: F-Flute
Black Box* design - Goodies below - 1 piece design with no glue. Innercell (table top tray) is created to secure device above the accessories and literature that comes with it. Designed using: F-Flute
Black Box* design - button is free from pressure via reliefs - Because many electronic devices sit for long periods of time, button locations must be accounted for and designs need to be created with these vital pieces in mind. If the button is ignored/unseen, chances are the wear and tear of abuse from shipping all the way to the shelves in the retail stores will shorten the it's life span, if not end it. 1 piece design with no glue. Designed using: F-Flute
CES2012 Power Bundle version 1 - I was given a set of extremely large dimensions and instructed not to adjust them due to preexisting dies they intended on using. This posed an issue simply because of the amount of vacant space. This image is to scale.
Power Bundle DV1 - Outside dimensions were given and unchangeable. Insert needed to be designed to accommodate this smaller products. I needed to find a way to protect and keep secure, the items inside. I developed a platform to elevate the pieces followed by an insert to assist in product control. The end result was 2 contained compartments, fitted to the product specs.
Power Bundle DV2 - Exterior dimensions of finished product were adjusted and given back to me. Since those dimensions were unchangeable, adaption began via insert creation. Product control was the primary focus. Designed using: 18sbs (insert) and F-Flute (Outer box)
Power Bundle DV3 - 3rd Concept designed for the power bundle that appeared at CES2012. Sized to fit, no glue involved, and is easy to assemble. Very light on the price to produce. Base: N-Flute, Insert: 18 sbs *Sized to fit and ready to go. Went into production and I never looked back.
CES2012 Power Bundle, Production Model - 3rd Concept designed for the power bundle that appeared at CES2012. Sized to fit, no glue involved, and is easy to assemble. Very light on the price to produce. Base: N-Flute, Insert: 18 sbs *Sized to fit and ready to go. Went into production and I never looked back.
2 pc design for EMEA launch - 2 piece design is both cost efficient and pleasant to look at. It is a mid-level style structure.
Micro tray - tray cavity is fitted for each individual phone and fits inside a common size box. This eliminates multiple dies and cuts costs drastically.
Chest Strap Insert - Insert designed to secure product in a package much larger then item it contains. This allowed for a common die to be used and in turn, kept the cost of production down. Designed using: 18sbs
