House for Georges Perec
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: a bathroom of a house dispersed throughout the city of the Hague. The project is the result of broader research on chance incorporation within the design process in the studio SPACE led by Anne Holtrop. The idea of a dispersed house was developed by a french writer George Perec (viz. the book ´Species of spaces and other pieces´). As a team of seven, we developed a set of rules (following our research and text studies) which were stated
in a way allowing a continuous influence of chance. Every member of the group was given one particular place in the Hague to develop one part of the common house.
