SpaceBox proposal - Final model for a proposal for 32 SpaceBox units in a medium sized vacant lot in downtown Philadelphia. This was a group effort in collaboration with VGA Architects and the creator or SpaceBox. The laser cut model units and final model was created by myself and Thomas Reynolds.
SpaceBox® is a flexible building solution for temporary and semi-permanent applications. At the time of this project, they were only being used in Europe but were looking to expand into the U.S. market and specifically targeting university scenarios. With six weeks to work, we focused specifically on the actual site and placement of the units. This plan was not implemented but the research and strategic planning did inform other plans that have been developed or are currently under construction.
