This character model is based on a concept that I designed and drew myself! He's the player character for a brawler game about cyborg dinosaurs, a concept I absolutely love. The project is on hiatus but I would love to see it get made. 80s and 90s dinosaur action figures, pulp comics and cartoons are a big influence on the project's overall direction.
Modelsheet I put together as a general guide, but I wanted to make adjustments as I blocked and sculpted the character.
Body sculpt of the character. When it comes to scales, I'll be testing whether sculpting in ZBrush or height + normal mapping in Substance Painter is going to be the best approach for this one.

A snapshot of my PureRef board that should give you an idea of the texturing and detailing direction I had in mind for this project. The dark green body with the warm yellow underbelly is a classic 90s dinosaur colour palette, so I'll be trying that one out first.
