Using passive design elements, i was to design a library that would uphold the topography of the immediate environment. The direction for which i chose to pursue my design was that of grandeur, simplicity and elegance. Furthermore, i wanted my design to stand-out, and not be absorbed by the chaotic surroundings, hence the literal dynamic edge for which gives the atrium space a sense of transcendence into higher learning.
