Juniper Lofts 2016 - Oakland
Located on the corner of Market and 63rd Street, lays a wax manufacturer to be reformed into a 3-Story mixed-use renovation. Our design intent is to capture the corner with a monument of adaptive reuse, acquiring the existing shell with new modern integration. Consist of 14 Work/Live and 14 Residential Units, a total of 28 Unit covering 34,500 sq ft. On Market Street, the design of balconies and decks variations provided an exploration of patterns of opening space and ventilated openings. The pattern allowed the facade to break away from convention and merged the begins and ends into a collaboration of conformity. On 63rd, volumes of shifted planes
