Using eco-design tools, the environmental impact of a disposable rake was assessed. In this analysis, the main areas for improvement in the product were identified.

The classic design of razors has proven to be more durable than current products, but its evolution has been limited. In addition, gender-based marketing has had a significant impact on both consumption and perception of the product.

The redesigned product mainly uses plastics, materials that, although common, pose significant challenges in terms of sustainability.

First, functional aspects were considered, maintaining functionality by using metal as the only material, with an ergonomic handle that concentrates its curvature in the minimum grip required to use the razor safely, and providing a blade exchange system where the head is not discarded.
