Solito Stool (2001) - (Japanese lacquer on wood and steel) This piece was created with a traditional Japanese lacquering technique in which seeds are imprinted on to semi-dry lacquer. Different layers of color are then added and sanded through to reveal a pattern. The flexible stool shaft provides support while at the same time it responds to the sitter's movements.
La Ola - La Ola chair was designed for extreme versatility. The chair's components can be "clipped on" to create a different configuration, the upholstery can be removed, and the upholstered foam tubing can be changed or rearranged. La Ola can disassemble and fit easily into a carrying case for storage or travel.
Bundle - Bundle is inspired by the vegetable bundles found in markets. This rocking ottoman is created by cinching leather upholstered foam tubes onto a stainless steel frame. The belts can be undone and the tubes released.
Savila Bookcase - This bookcase assembles by wedging its pieces together. They can be rearranged to create alternate configurations. (stained italian bending poplar)
