A few pages from the game design doc
For some of the cards, I sent Djib a sketch of what I wanted depicted in the final illustration. This image shows my sketches next to the finished card art.
I created this illustration of the game board to help convey my vision for the world, but also to show how much of the game play information could be represented through illustration. This formed the basis for the final artwork.
Early concept sketches I created of the mountain pixies
Some early concept sketches for the wizards. Only the Wizard of Illusion ended up making it into the final game.
An early b-sheet bearing the placeholder name "Pixie Dust Magicians" and showing one of the game's first prototypes

Wizards Wanted

Wizards Wanted was the 6th game in Mattel's line of German strategy games. I was the lead designer, solely responsible for the game's design. I also helped direct the character design, card illustrations, and board layout.
