switch mimic visual design - This is the visual specification of the mimic widget
Chassis front panel - Chassis found at the core of large enterprise networks, I consider these to be the front line in my interfaces. I present high level information through the LEDs relevant to the context in which they are viewed.
Chassis mimic - The virtual mimic of the chassis, utilizes colour coded components, mouse-over tool tips and on-click options
Metaphor design - Virtual elements based on the user's understanding of the real world device
Switch mimic functional design - This is the final static mock-up in a series of iterations that started as pencil/paper.
Design process circa '96 - When I first started working as a user advocate within engineering I developed this process as a way to get buy-in with stakeholders concerned about the value-add I was proposing. Its a simplified agile process within the larger (traditional) process.
Outsorucing design process model - After 2000-2002 my involvement with outsourced engineering teams & vendors increased. This is a design process I created to meet those unique demands.
The dark arrows indicate the overlying development process as I get involved. The lighter double-headed arrows indicate my design management workflow, where I track projects and manage my libraries.
Flow/Control combo - This is a new form of spec I'm working on for a handheld device, the flow of the screen and the available controls for those screens
Wizard design - In my designs I aim to preempt both user and system issues by explain to user what to expect. This is the first screen in a multistage +20 page wizard.
Device group managment - Basic wireframe for a widget that grouped wireless access points on the network. All discovered devices reside in the top panel, they are then dragged to the profile bins in the bottom panel. Once grouped the devices could then be bulk-configured in other features.
Icons for the openmoko phone - Selection of icons as part of a theme for the www.openmoko.com phone.
typical configuration wizard flow - With the task defined I outlay the required functionality in to a flow diagram. This helps me visually streamline the flow process to achieve the optimal design.
