A nasogastric tube is used to insert liquid food into a patients stomach if they are unable to eat. This is a simple process though the tube can often go into the lungs, causing more problems for the patient. I designed a wire that has two handle s to help guide the tube into the stomach, avoiding the lungs.
The ear piece is used alongside the nasogastric tube, as the tube is usually taped to the patients face and often falls off, the ear piece allows the tube to be secure and prevents the tube becoming dislodged, once it has been placed correctly.
