The images from the inspiration board helped in designing the table linen sets. The design is mainly extracted from a variety of grilles that we come across in our daily routines; these were overlapped to create patterns. Chevron pattern has been used with thick and thin lines to create an interesting surface.
The table mat and napkin have been designed with the theme of barbed wire. A jute rope was wrapped around an existing block and tied at the handle of the block. The block was used only along the edge for the table mat and all over for the napkin.
This has been designed with the theme of overlapping grilles. In the napkin only the chevron pattern block was used at the edge to compliment the table mat.
The theme of grilles in perspective helped in designing this set.
This has been designed with the theme of overlapping leaves and creepers. In the napkin only half of the basic block was used at the edge to compliment the table mat.

BLUEBERRY HOME | Prints and Grilles

The table-mats and napkins were designed for the Indian market, with a broad use of blocks. The inspiration for this project came from both natural & man-made objects that are palpable in a trivial unadulterated milieu.
These were developed as a part of my final project with Blueberry Home, Mumbai.
