El FMA IA-60 fue un anteproyecto de un avión de entrenamiento avanzado y ataque táctico, desarrollado en la ex Fabrica Militar de Aviones (hoy FADEA) por un equipo de aproximadamente 18 ingenieros liderados por el Jefe del Departamento de Ingeniería de la FMA, el en ese entonces Vicecomodoro Ingeniero Aeronáutico Hector Eduardo Ruiz. Proyecto I.A. 60 Caza bombardero subsónico; velocidad máxima de 950 Km/h; conformación ala delta con empenaje en T; planta de poder ROLLS ROYCE SPEY. Como armamento iba a llevar dos cañones DEFA 554 de 30 mm y carga lanzable de 2000 Kg. Se construyó una mockup escala 1:1 que fue ensayada exhaustivamente en el Túnel Central; el proyecto es desprogramado en 1977.
