Contort

I was tasked with creating a chaise-lounge that held no aesthetic resemblance to a typical antique chaise. After several experiments researching methods of comfort and relaxing positions, I decided to invert the typical slumped position in order to fully open and expand the diaphragm. This position also lightly stretches the spine and takes the weight off your feet.
In order to posses the rigidity required to hold the convex form of Contort, Cement Cloth is used as the sole material of Contort.
