DeWALT Impact Driver - Power Tool - The final design of the impact driver was driven to be as compact as possible. It was basically shrink-wrapped around its internal components to be competitive in the Japanese market where it was all about front to back length. Even the lanyard loop at the battery foot was designed to be internal as not to get caught on things. This tool was the first DeWALT tool to have overmold stretching up from the handle to the back for pushing against and a more heavily textured area on the grip.

DeWALT POWER TOOL - Cordless Impact Driver

DeWALT Cordless Impact Driver - In most of the developed world nearly all building construction is done in concrete, except the US and Scandinavia. Instead of using drills they use impact drivers to anchor things to walls and ceilings. This project was to create a more competitive impact driver that was compact, powerful and durable. This product marked the small humble beginning of a change in DeWALT styling based on user needs.
