Insight Magazine - State Fund's employee newsletter is designed and printed in-house. The magazine dates as far back as 1970 when it was just a four-page duotone publication.

Feature Story

Mentor Program Brochure - This two-fold/three-panel brochure was distributed to State Fund employees as a recruitment tool to encourage participation in the new Mentoring Program. Quark Xpress was the original application used to lay out the Mentoring Program Brochure.

Wellness Newsletter - The State Fund Wellness Newsletter was published between 1991 to 2004 and featured health-related articles on actual State Fund employees. The early newsletters were printed with two colors until 1997 when the company purchased a brand new four-color press. The vibrancy of color was evident on subsequent issues when Sebastian took ownership of the magazine's new design that same year. The cover layouts for all the issues he worked on were from his own creative ideas.

Contributing Editor

Promotional Items Catalog - This special promotional items catalog was created for State Fund's local Wellness coordinators to pick out corporate swag for distributing as prizes to their employees. Special lighting, a knack for digital photography, and some patience were required to produce this two-sided catalog.

Intranet Newsletter - The intranet newsletter laid, out as a PDF document instead of an HTML web page, retains the look and feel of the original InDesign file. Job Shadow Day was an annual event from which State Fund volunteers were paired up with visiting high school students to show them the importance of the work they do for the organization. A layer of opacity was placed between the picturesque backdrop and the foreground to allow the reader to view the two layers simultaneously.
