CHURCH of SAO ROQUE XVI Century -LISBON - European churches, like this in LISBON was some of the inspirations of ancient brazilian architects since XVI Century. Perfect Billatheral Symmetry, almost schizzo... ;) Drawing made it with the green color pen. (Note the human scale against the building)
CHURCH of N.S. de ALMEIDA XVII Century GUARAPARI city, ESPIRITO SANTO ( Brasil ) - Nice spartan brazilians church near the seashore. Note the rare latheral building with visible ceillings and HUGE rooms, it works likes a semi-provisory hometown of the padres. (Note the human scale against the building)
CHURCH of the JESUITAS, XVII Century - Belem do Para city, PARA (BRASIL) - This HUGE church sits on the North side of Brasil, near Equator Line and the odd thing it is that incline ( subtill... ) site at the street of the original terrain, generating 3 steps made it with pure stone ( cantaria works ) without losses of bilatheral simmetry. (Note the human scale of the building)
CHURCH of OLINDA, XVI Century -RECIFE Northeast of BRASIL - Nice and VERY rare design of a brazilian church, thanks to the visible CANTARIA WORKS on the corner columns embroided with white cement. The main facade was the back of the building and the CAMPANARIO sits towards the ocean view down hill. The latheral building was a recent (XVII) addition. (Note the human scale against the building)
CHURCHES of SANTA THERESA XVI Century SALVADOR, BAHIA ( Brasil ) - Spartan brazilian church designed with bilatheral symmetry sitted on the old Colonial Capital of the formerly ISLAND OF SANTA CRUZ, the first name of the Brasil country, a mistake with its original geography made by the ancient portuguese saylors at year 1500 dC on the Discoveries Era w/ sheep fleets. (Note the human scale against the building)
CHURCHES OF SAO BENTO - XVII Century RIO DE JANEIRO - Brasil - I love churches with bilatteral-symetrical designs like this one on the old Imperial Capital of the kingdon of Brazil. YAZZ, pals! Brasil was a kingdon after year 1882, with King, Queen, Crown, Princess, Duchess, Sudits & Slaves... (Note the human scale of the building)
CHURCH of JESUITAS XVII Century SALVADOR, BAHIA ( Brasil ) - This nice stone & cement church sits in SALVADOR, BAHIA, northeast of BRASIL. The illustration was made by an ordinary oilly pen nicknammed here as BIC ( a brasilian factory of plastic pens ), a dischargeable cheap drawing tool. It becomes with 4 individual colors: Blue/Red/Green/Black. (Note the human scale against the building)
