Transportation design - Among my design interests, transportation design figures in hugely. This bike model was built on the lines of a custom cruiser, drawing inspiration from a Sabre tooth tiger. Parts of the machine are metaphorical representations of the big cat. The oversized canines are represented by the meter housings, the short, highset stocky tail by the exhaust pipes and the powerful body by the tank-engine assembly. The model is built to have a predatorial stance. THe model was made on SolidEdge, rendered mostly on 3dsMax and touched up on photoshop.
In shop display - This modular unit was designed for in shop display and promo of company's new range of home theatre systems. The unit had to be modular and adjustable (size) to fit various locations, had to be classy to go with the image and pricing of the HomeTheatre, easy to manfacture and maintain and simulate hometheatre effects effectively. The retractible 'back' speakers surrounded the person who would stand in front of the unit- give a more complete sound experience. Posters a la cinema hall, can be put on the side walls. The height, length and width could be adjusted to within 6 inches (height =12 inches), making the unit quite flexible.
