The goal for this project was to design custom packaging for a item a client to their liking and specifications. My client wanted something to show off the candle in while keeping the macabre look to it, one of the idea I came up with having it be a ribcage wrap around the box, and with the fact its a spine candle, my client loved that idea. After some more sessions we finalized the shape to be both a coffin and ribcage because similar to the shape and then adding some muscle tissue. The blood dripping down the sides was something I brought up and he thought it would add more horror to it. The design on the inside was something I took charge of because I didn’t want the design on the inside to be boring compared to the outside and it all turned out well because my client really like the idea and keeps the box in his office.
