SaltWorks - Stage One - Individual pieces and courtyard installations made out of 28 by 8 by 8 centimetre salt blocks, usually used for softening water, which feel and look like smooth white marble. The blocks have initially been shaped by various liquid drips and soaks, as well as by chisel, saw, sand-blasting and even a laser. In the courtyard installation the pieces were left to 'weather' for about a month, which resulted in the gradual deteriorations shown...
