Firefly Flatpack Lamp

This collaborative project with Victoria P. was the result of a prompt that asked to design a lampshade for a theoretical "smart-bulb". The form of the lamp had to indicate to a user how to control the smart bulb, while also being themed around radial symmetry. The lampshade had to be shipped as a single sheet of cardboard and assembled by hand.

The angled surface of our lampshade was designed so that an upward swipe would brighten the bulb, whereas a downward swipe would dim the bulb. A push towards the surface would turn the lamp on/off. The form can also be stood upright on a table, or hung upside down with no modifications.

Item comes printed as a single laser cut sheet, with instructions for assembly right on the package!
