Kealakekua Bay IPA • Spinner Hops: The family went kayaking in this baby - a popular spot for spinner dolphins, which we luckily encountered while snorkeling.
Halemaumau Lava Flow • Active Hops • Imperial India Pale Ale: The lava flow was very active during our vacation. My husband visited the flow four times - an inspiring experience.

Grillin' Session IPA • Sunset Hops: One of my husband's favorite thing to do in Hawaii was grill in our beautiful courtyard and watch the sunset.
South Point • Wet Hops IPA: My husband loves jumping off things. It's in his blood. I illustrated an outline of him jumping of the Southern Most Point on the Big Island. I also illustrated the wind-blown trees that dot the land in this region.
Fire Ant: Cascade Hops • Hilo India Pale Ale: After jumping off a bridge in Hilo, HI, we experienced the wrath of fire ants that skimmed the surface of the water. A painful memory, but one that we will always remember!

Brewery Forty-One • Aloha Label
Don't these look good enough to drink?! I designed and illustrated these beer cans for my husband's forty-first birthday to capture the memories from our recent trip to Hawaii and his love of craft beer. I created a customized "Aloha Label" for an imagined brewery I dubbed "Brewery Forty-One," combining hand-drawn illustrations and photographs. I came up with the name of each beer and even the types of Hops that would be used (some fictitious of course - i.e. "Spinner Hops").
