The Shipwreck Series is drawn from the low places in life that leave us feeling destroyed. Each piece in the series is a monument to the moments in life when we feel destroyed and dismayed, moments of hopelessness and despair, but moments which allow us to realize the truth that lies in the depths of our hearts. These dramatic paintings commemorate the moments in life when we were forced to let go, to move forward, or bring to an end a certain chapter of our lives. Shipwrecks can remind us of a season in life, but they can also help us remember that we are not where we used to be.
