Chicago Prize 2007 Entry - This pedestrian bridge proposal takes into consideration the idea of connectivity and the dynamics of movement. The main purpose of the design is to create an interface that functions both as a connection between the Buckingham Fountain Plaza and the walkways and bike paths along Lake Michigan and as a space in which pedestrians, cyclists, in-skaters, and tourists can interact by relating to the both the presence of the fountain and relationship to Grant Parks‘ organic nature.
Chicago Prize 2007 Entry - This project has been conceived as a reproduction of the organic presence of Grant Park in relation to the city‘s urban density by creating a link between park and lakefront. The design is intended to emerge from its context as a system derived from the fluidness or continuity of how plants such as vines or roots are able to grow and spread through their surroundings.
