First shot of the shoot, the look over the shoulder gives the model a great sense of maturity.
This shot is my one of my best from this photo shoot. The reason I believe this is as the model is looking directly into the lens of the camera, which creates an emotional connection between the shot and whoever looks at it. The whole photograph has very warm tones- reds, browns etc… Except for the piercing blue eyes which causes them to become the focal point of the picture.
Like the previous shot, I believe that this photo is another one of my best from this photo shoot. For all of the same reasons: The reason I believe this is as the model is looking directly into the lens of the camera, which creates an emotional connection between the shot and whoever looks at it. The whole photograph has very warm tones- reds, browns etc… Except for the piercing blue eyes which causes them to become the focal point of the picture. The warmer tones create a sort of frame around the face of the model in this shot which I believe creates a really nice effect.
For this photo, I got the model to wrap herself in a blanket. This creates the effect of shyness and solidarity. I then worked on it in Adobe Photoshop, I adjusted the image with the Black & White option and used the tint filter with a Sepia colour. I then played around with the levels and created this very high key piece.
This shot was based on the painting ‘Girl with a Pearl Earring’ created by Johannes Vermeer. The reason I used this as reference is because I believe it to be very beautiful and I hope I was able to convey some of that beauty in my piece with my model.
I was experimenting with ways in which I could make my model look flawless, and beautiful. I had certain props that we tried and by far the feather boa was the best I believe. The contrast of the red feather boa to the blue eyes and blondes in the hair, create a very gorgeous piece.

For this shot, I was thinking of showing the style of advertisement when celebrities endorse certain products. I made sure that my model was off center and applied the rule of thirds when lining up the model. I opened it up in Adobe Photoshop and tweaked the levels so that the whites were whiter and the blacks were blacker.
I like to let my models feel as comfortable as possible. Therefore most of my pieces are candid unless I really need a specific shot.
