Cutting the toolpaths on a CNC. The base was a 7' x 1' piece of red oak that was carefully painted black. Each letter was individually cut from a 1/4" plywood sheet and a coat of gloss white paint for contrast.
Placing the letters into their channels via wood glue.
Hand painting the white vertebrae details and red "Philadelphia" text. The next step was delivery and install!
