This was the final outcome, using bio-mimicry from a leaf to help assist the design. Made via fabricating and vacuum forming HIPS and spray painted to the desired green.
This was 3D printed, using a 'maker-bot' the purpose was to get an idea of the size and user's experience.

HERBY - 'Herb Strimmer'

This project required me to create a kitchen utensil; through research and market analysis I designed and prototyped 'Herby' a herb strimmer, designed to remove the leaves from different dimensioned stems efficiently, without the wear on the users hands and without the need for a knife. The aim is to encourage more people to grow and use their own natural herbs for cooking.
Utilising the natural form of a leaf, my design developed into an ergonomic and aesthetic product - comfortable to hold and easy to use.
