Capoeira Mission
Capoeira Mission, a group founded in the SF’s Mission District, instructs the practice of Capoeira, an Afro–Brazilian martial art.
The logo communicates the vision of the group and aesthetics of its culture. The circular shape represents the Roda (a circle where two opponents fight), and in the center the two Berimbaus (traditional instruments) interact with each other in harmony. The five main ideals—respect, humility, dedication, patience, and pride—were placed at the bottom in the Portuguese language to complete this emblem.
